North Academy fosters a caring learning environment dedicated to enhancing the lives of every student. Our Educational Program focuses on each child’s individual strengths and weaknesses.
Our school exposes students to age-appropriate class activities, with a modified curriculum allowing children to work hands-on while encouraging practical, life, and social skills. As a TEAM, we work together, with our teachers, parents, therapists and staff to achieve the goals set forth on our Individual Educational Plan in order to maximize the student's potential.
The school provides services to children with a variety of intellectual and developmental disabilities that may include, but are not limited to Intellectual Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Asperger’s, Down Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other conditions associated with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Currently our school is home to children from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade and young adults.
